| 15 Aug 2005 NTU-SGH Symposium Showcases Innovations in Biomedical Engineering
The 7th Annual NTU-SGH Symposium 2005 was a showcase of innovative ideas in biomedical engineering.
Presentations ranged from development of biomedical devices, medical diagnostic tools and biomaterials, to mathematical modelling. It was encouraging that, in keeping with the spirit of this Symposium, a number of these projects came about through collaboration between clinicians, engineers, scientists and industrialists.
The Organising Committee, supported by SGH-PGMI, put together a programme in line with the theme "Moving Technology towards Better Patient Care". Among the invited speakers were Prof Edison Liu, Executive Director of the Genome Institute of Singapore and Prof Jackie Ying, Executive Director of the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology. NTU President, Prof Su Guaning, was the Guest-of-honour.
The Symposium was held from 11 to 12 August 2005.
