| 27 Mar 2007 E-Learning Initiative
The Smart Classroom, located in PGMI, is a wired classroom with 16 User PCs and one Instructor PC. It is equipped with recording facilities and videoconferencing capabilities. Currently, it has at least 400 archived recordings, readily accessible via the intranet for SGH and other SingHealth institutions.
A major enhancement was undertaken recently and the Enhanced Smart Classroom was launched officially on 27 March 07. The enhancement included extending the recording capabilities of the Smart Classroom to PGMI Lecture Room 4 to enable us to capture more teaching activities. Users would now be able to rate the archived recordings and browse the learning events according to users’ ratings, CME points, etc. The "Look & Feel" of the elearning intranet was refreshed with a more contemporary design and aligned with new trends in web browsing.
The upgrade was made possible with contributions from Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, Singapore Health Services and SGH-PGMI.
