| 23 Oct 2008 SGH signs MOU with Chonnam National University Hospital, Korea
On 23 October 2008, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and Chonnam National University Hospital (CNUH), one of the leading healthcare facilities in Korea. CNUH was founded in 1910 and currently provides healthcare to more than one million patients a year. Its specialised centres include the Organ Transplantation Centre, Digestive Diseases Centre, Heart Centre, Kidney Centre, and Heart & Health Promotion Centre. Signed by Prof Ang Chong Lye, CEO of SGH and Prof Young-Jin Kim, General Director of CNUH, the MOU will promote collaboration between the two hospitals. In the pipeline are academic and scientific exchanges, joint symposias and research, as well as exchange programmes.
